Facet with multi-choice field

We have a custom content type that has a couple of fields/columns with multi-choice turned on.  When we told the search facets about the columns, the factes are displaying the seperator for the choices, ";#".  Is there a configuration that we missed to prevent this?  I noticed another discussion where it appears to be working for someone else.

We are using the latest release: 2.5.120608.0

Here is the xml for the columns:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><root xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Columns OrderBy="Name">  <Column Name="AppliesTo" DisplayName="Applies To" OrderBy="Name" TotalResults="7"/>  <Column Name="AppliesToLocation" DisplayName="By Location" OrderBy="Name" TotalResults="7"/>  <Column Name="BusinessTechnical" DisplayName="Business Technical" OrderBy="Name" TotalResults="5"/> </Columns></root>

The display in the Search Facets web part look like this:
Applies To
;#All Depts;# (20)
;#Architecture;# (1)
;#CCC;# (2)
;#Design Build;# (1)
;#Location Specific;# (3)
All Depts (1)
Engineering (1)
