EventID 6352 There is no explicit mapping for the categories 'Faceted Search Logging'.

Oct 14, 2009 at 8:11 PM

I just installed the Oneclick faceted search on my front end web server.  I had no previous installs of Faceted Search.  After added the web parts to the search results page, it seems to work with no issues but when I go to the Event Viewer I recieve the following error every time a search is run.  I have verified that the Scope in the Search Facet Web part matches the Scope in the SSP.  What should I do to get rid of the errors?  I am running Windows 2008 Server 32 bit.

What language pack are you running on?

For testing, you might clear out the Scope property on the Facets web part and see if takes care of the error. Also, there should be a message in the event log that clarifies what Scopes were found and cached by Faceted Search.

I am using the English Language.  I do clear the Scope in the Facets web part and it works great with no errors in the Event Viewer when I run a search.  The problem is that I need to define a scope for my other Scopes, such as People.  When I do that I get the errors again.?

Here is what is in the Event Viewer when executing the search:

There is a message in the event log that identifies what Scopes were found and cached by Faceted Search at the app start. What does it say?

*** solution ***

Fixed problem exporting Facets WebPart and clearing property "DefaultScope".
<property name="DefaultScope" type="string"></property>
After that Imported WebPart, and it works.

The error: There is no explicit mapping for the categories 'Faceted Search Logging'. can be disregarded. It is a bug and will be fixed in the next build.

Hi.

leonidly, do you have a timeframe for the new build with the fix? Really need it

You are working on a bug fix under RE: Metadata column datatype datetime error used in facet 3.0 webpart [FacetedSearch: 9626]

and you asked for any errors in event log when I accessed the page with the faceted search web part on it and there were none.  However with I go to the top site collection and access the web parts and I scroll done to the faceted search web part and I attempt to preview it there in the event log under application I get the error which matchs this thread EventID 6352 There is no explicit mapping for the categories 'Faceted Search Logging'

This is from the event log
