Faceted Search 3.0 runtime is available at http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/XSearch


Starting Faceted Search 3.0 solution is based on .Net 3.5, Enterprise Library 4.1 and it is built/compiled with Visual Studio 2008.
New features include:
  • Plugin to extended Logging and provisioning for Performance Counters
  • A new 3-Columns Layout page
  • A new Search Hint web part that deliveres suggestions from popular searches
  • Full support of Advanced Search, including:
  • Display of all advanced search terms in Search Facets
  • Display of all advanced search terms in Bread Crumbs
  • Support of DateTime and Integer data types in facets
  • Support of DateTime and Integer From-To Ranges
  • Built-in drill downs for DateTime and Integer facets
  • Fix for special characters
  • Editable values and operators in Crumbs allow refine the search in unseen ways

Random issues (and no source code) impede an otherwise excellent product. Thank you for your work! We look forward to SharePoint 2010 Faceted Search.

This is an absolutely ground breaking product. Helped my customer to finally see the use of SharePoint search. Love it!

Considering 3.0 as abandoned - hasn't been updated in 8 months and still in beta, reverting to 2.5
